did you really think he was serious?

anyways, chances are we're going to have to get stuff from Eye of the North so we'll have to wait until next week to figure out the mystery.

I have been doing similar to what Timebandit showed but I been doing a full loop
you get between 2 to 4 wings and gold drops AND a few chests along the way.
at the last part on the hills if you want go kill the rest but there is a lot to deal with so I don't bother.

As much as I hate too I'm dumping my white tiger and grabbing a Black Moa from factions. They are already lvl 20 so no lvling of any pet is involved, besides re-training new pets will give the ole ranger something to do. I believe the final trigger will be in GWEN as well. All these things have been recently added and it would be a way for ANET to thank those who have purchased each chapter if that's what this is about and if it's a hoax well can't say we didn't all have fun on this scavenger hunt. But new content added to every chapter and randomly placed every where doesn't seem like any broken quest

I'll run around with a black moa and these items in inventory for awhile and see what happens

I'll tell you all right now, so when the time comes, I'm easy to convict...

If I have to have a black moa as my personal pet to get a baby moa, I'm going to commit multiple first degree homicide.

I've had my pet moa since day one of GW, and I wouldn't give him up if they came out with an expansion that let me tame fifty-foot-long dragons.

Giving him up is probably the only thing I wouldn't do to get a cute baby moa.

Luckily, I don't expect this will be a requirement. ^_^

It is fun getting all these items. Has anyone checked to see if any of the other collector npcs have had any new items added like the other non-quest items? This is what I have so far:

Hardened Moa Egg
Nesting Material
Volcanic Rocks
Branch of Juni Berries
Herring

Or has anyone discovered any new areas that you take the items to to change them into something else (like the Moa Egg to get it hardened)?
Like maybe you have to take the Herring to get pickled or something...lol

even if you did have to have a moa as a pet, nothin would be stoping you from using a dif char to cap the moa and get the mini...im sure you have more than 1 char and im sure they dont all have a pet you capped in pre.

Yeah, if anything, this would probably require capping a White Moa from GWEN, since it's new and requires getting GWEN to complete this multi-campaign scavenger hunt that seems to be occurring.

Did anyone happen to try messing with anything near Gwen's little green patch near the Eye of the North with the tree and the Red Iris Flowers? I mean, it is reminiscent of Pre-Searing, and the Moas were first found in Pre-Searing, there is that small link. *shrug*

It is clear to me that the Branch of Juni Berries has nothing to do with all this moa egg story. to think that it does, is like saying that the Onyx gemstone will be needed because some real-life moa-like birds eat black round rocks to help digest food. there are a lot of funny items in GW, and the only ones which could reasonably be assumed to be related to the egg, are the ones which were introduced in the same update.

That is only assuming they are not trying to tie up loose ends and using the previously un-used items, and adding them to an actually useful quest.

No idea why you would add Onyx Gemstone to your list since they are actually a rare crafting material, and not just an item with a name.

Well it's obvious what the herring is for. You need to find the largest tree in the forrest and use the herring to cut it down! Honestly, how stupid can you lot be?

Good lord, I am having fun with this!

Cheers for the other posts of the skree wing farming spots...
I might change my strat a bit since most of you seem to Hero/ Hench them with still a good drop rate ...

@ Roo Ella: are you doing this solo? in NM or HM? with Heroes and Henches?
If solo, plz share the build with us

I am with Foo on the juni berries, the herring smells much more like the right track to me (but that is just intuition and I could of course be totally wrong).
However, this screws up my theory of one item per chapter. Which makes the volcanic rock for me interesting again.

I don't support the white moa breeding theory because it would mean to abandon your previous pet and Anet knows how attached people can be to their long time fellow companions (Gaile Grey anyone?).

I am pretty sure though that the final link will show up in GW:EN...

Good luck on your hunt fellows!
Timebandit
